I’m Jill, a qualified and experienced counsellor with over eight years of experience supporting adults through times of significant change, challenge, and self-discovery.
I work with neurotypical and neurodivergent individuals navigating life-changing events — whether that’s a health diagnosis, loss, relationship shift, career upheaval, or a deep sense of “I’m not ok, something’s got to give.” I provide a warm, safe, and empowering space where you can explore who you are, what matters to you, and how to move forward in a way that feels authentic and sustainable.
My approach is grounded in person-centred therapy, enriched with elements of coaching and psychoeducation. I aim to meet you exactly where you are — with empathy, honesty, and the occasional well-timed metaphor. I’m not afraid to gently challenge unhelpful patterns or invite new perspectives, always with your growth and autonomy at the heart of the process.
How do I work?
We start with talking therapy, identifying the root cause of what brought you to therapy and discover what you want to achieve in therapy. We then begin working towards that aim.
In some cases, not sitting but walking together, using movement and reduction in eye contact is preferred. If this sounds more like you, then we can utilize the benefit of walk and talk therapy.
I am also able to offer Kintsugi where appropriate for our work together. This is the Japanese art of repairing ceramics with lacquer and gold. You may wish to repair your own ceramic to symbolise your counselling journey whilst talking. Rather than trying to hide the damage, kintsugi highlights the repair. The imperfections are what make it beautiful and valuable. A broken piece that has been put back together has more of a story, seems more authentic and real, is stronger and is more resilient than something that has stayed pristine. As you can tell, I do love a metaphor!
Sessions are available face-to-face in Lymm or online, for individuals aged 18 and over.
Fee: £55 per counselling hour. Concessions are available.
