Paula Cornes Hypnotherapist Lymm
As an Integrative Therapist I use a combination of Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy together to help deliver Programmes that are completely designed around you. Below are some of the questions I have been asked over the years they tend to come up so I hope they help you to understand and feel able to make the decision either way if Hypnotherapy would be the right therapy for you.
What is Hypnotherapy
The ability to be able to create a deep state of relaxation in order for the unconscious and conscious parts of our mind to work in harmony together to help new patterns of positive suggestions to be given in order to have greater control over the change you want. What it isn’t is going into a deep sleep however the level of relaxation you can experience can sometimes feel as if you have had a wonderful deep and restful sleep.
Is Hypnotherapy Safe?
Often our first encounter with Hypnotherapy is through some form of entertainment, seeing someone making a fool of themselves whilst an audience laughs at them! However Hypnotherapy used in a therapeutic setting provides a heightened state of learning to the subconscious mind when we are relaxed we become open to ideas and suggestions. The idea that you may have your mind ‘taken over’ is simply not true our mind belongs to us and will only do what you want to do, therefore it’s important to recognise if you want change and choose hypnotherapy you will be a good candidate for it.
