Steve Green Counsellor LymmSteve Green – Person Centred Counsellor – Lymm

I believe my role as a counsellor is to provide you, the client, with a safe and supportive space to explore your thoughts and feelings, and to work with you to address the issues that have brought you into therapy. By working in an empathic, non-judgmental manner, I will help you to find clarity about yourself and the challenges you are facing. This will enable you to find your way through your concerns as you set the direction and focus of our time together.

There are a lot of counsellors with whom you could work, but finding the one who best suits you is important. For this reason, our initial session will be a consultation, the purpose of which is to determine how we might work together and if we are a good fit. This session is offered at a reduced rate.

I am a qualified Person Centred Counsellor and a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP). I fully adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework, the code of practice that helps to ensure clients receive the best standard of care possible, and I am committed to continually improving my skills. At present, I work with adults only.

Areas of counselling that I offer include, but are not limited to:

  • Abuse
  • Addiction
  • Anger issues
  • Anxiety
  • Bereavement and grief
  • Cancer
  • Depression
  • Family issues
  • Life-threatening or chronic illness (patient and carers/families)
  • Relationships
  • Spirituality

I have particular experience with addictions and substance misuse, having worked in two different recovery-based settings. I have also worked within the NHS for McMillan Cancer Support.
